R50 Automatic Transmission Cable Routing

Hey Guys,

So i recently dropped my Fiance's R50s subframe to install new control arm bushings and ball joints and i noticed that the linkage cable from the transmission was in the way. In every how-to i read about the subframe removal, there is never a mention of having to remove this linkage cable. I removed it from the transmission and re-installed it the same way it was but I feel like it wasn't in there right to begin with. Does anyone have any pictures or diagrams as to how to the automatic linkage cable is to be routed through the subframe/power steering/etc? I want to make sure I route it the proper way so there's no issues.

Thanks in advance.

The cable should pass between the top of the subframe and the bottom of the sway bar, and it may take some small adjustments at the transmission to get the shifter to click into gear properly after removing the subframe.

Thank you for clarifying! The car is 100miles away at my garage for the winter but I hope to get there in the coming weeks and will be confirming that's how I routed it. No subframe removal i read mentioned this cable so i was shocked when i encountered it originally
