Turning Noise/Squeaking
Turning Noise/Squeaking
Yesterday my 2009 R56 started making an odd noise when turning left.
This is what is sounds like:

I thought it might be the wheel bearings, but I don't have experience checking them. I did jack the car up to see how the felt/sounded. It wasn't great, but I don't have a good baseline. It might be a seperate issue and I should replace those anyways.

You guys have any thoughts?
Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply. I popped the wheel off and did some light cleaning around the brake rotor. Didn't see anything obvious, but the noise stopped.
I was planning on taking off the brake rotor and doing a more thorough cleaning. Hopefully it doesn't come back!
Thanks again.

If I could figure how to post a vid of my noise, I would. Only happens at low speeds, especially when turning hard left while braking lightly, like into a driveway or parking spot. Or around the circle at the end of my driveway, when coming to a stop. Not like a brake squeal, sounds like something is rubbing, creating this "howl" kinda noise. I will take my front wheels off and inspect everything soon. But I know that my brake pads are thick, rotors are fine, and I have not hit anything recently that could have moved something like a dust or heat shield out of position. I guess I need someone to give me advice on how to post a quick vid here? It is very easy to replicate.
If you have a gmail account, you have access to google photos. I used google photos, which backs up automatically from my phone. You can also upload from your computer. There is an option to share the link then, which I how I did it above.
Youtube would work as well.
