I'm getting the following warning light in my tachometer when I start my R55 using comfort access, i.e. key in my pocket vs. in the ignition slot:



The car is a 2014. Is it possible that the remote key battery is low already? I thought these things last for many years.

 

Did you try the other fob? I replaced both batteries after 3 years, cost about two dollars as I recall.

 

No I haven't but I just looked at the fob and see where the battery is replaceable. I (mistakenly) assumed it had to be cut open to get to the batt.

 

CR2032 is the battery #.
