28,000 mile service

hiya everyone,
i am taking my mcs in for its second required service. can't seem to find the info in my service manual regarding what is covered in this service. i would rather not have them touch my car but i understand i have to for the warranty. any advice is welcomed. i am missing a side turn indicator which fell out one night on the freeway so i am happy to have it replaced but i have a great non dealer mechanic to maintain and upgrade my car.

They don't do much except oil change, microfilter, check all fluids, check and adjust if needed e-brake.They put the car on a lift, pull the wheels, inspect brakes, look around, they should respond if anything is amiss, put the wheels back on,get them to rotate if you want, wash the car, send you on your way.
If you have modded, and they don't like it,,, well yer on yer own.
When I had mine done they download software so the car talks to MINI Ca.
I don't care,Poco can talk to anyone

At the second service they also change the air filter element.

I think, somewhere on here you can find the list of things they do on the second service. I don't have it in front of me, but I think the service manual that comes with the car has a list as well. They should also stamp or sign the service manual every time they service the car.

Yes the service is not that significant. Some filters, oil, and inspections. Being the car is such low mileage usually nothing major unless there is a bulletin that needs addressing.
Although on a side note, I mentioned that my wiper blades were wearing and they replaced them all, as well as a weird rattle in the dash, which they also padded up.
So if there is something you think odd, let them know.

Actually it's more than just changing oil and filters.

Under the warranty, they check for a lot of other things (two pages of checklist).

According to the MSA I talked to when I scheduled my 2nd scheduled service (have not had it yet, next week), the 2nd service is a 3-4 hour event. As opposed to the 1-2 hour event for the 1st.

The 1st service is just minor stuff. The 2nd is larger. Don't have the manual handy to check it though.
