12v at battery, 4v at engine bay terminal to ground?

2003 MCS
Car sat for a week outside. (Raining every day)

Unlocked car with remote.
Turned key to prime the fuel pump.
Lights come on.

Press clutch in and turn the key.
As soon as the key turned, everything went dark.
No electricity.

Checked battery - 11.94v
Checked engine bay battery terminal to ground ~4v

Check that you have clean ground points, no corrosion on battery terminals at rear, and that the large battery cable that runs from the rear to the front is not damaged or fraying.

Have you had the battery tested yet? Start with having the battery tested.

You could also be having electrical troubles, which are always fun to diagnose. :/

I didn't get a chance to check the cables yet... but walking pass the car today, the trunk light was turning on and off every seconds, as well as the speedo backlight.
