Problems with misfire p300 and p2096
Hello,
Was driving my 2009 Mini Cooper S home last week when the power started to fade and engine started to run very rough. Luckily I was getting off the freeway. It was still running, so I limped home. I did a lot of searching for possible problems which would cause p300 and p2096 codes. First thing I did was clean the intake valves. They were due to be cleaned. Next I changed the HPFP which I already had on hand. This car has over 103,000 miles on it, so was going to change out the HPFP as preventative maintenance anyway. I started the car after that and it still runs just as rough as before. Next I changed out the fuel filter and the low pressure fuel pump. I started the car again and it is still running very rough, so I am looking for further insight from y'all to help me figure out what else to check. Is something loose, a wire? Is there a basic sensor I am missing? Vacuum lines? Are my fuel injectors bad or clogged? I usually run Sea Foam in the gas every few thousand miles. Any clues would be helpful at this point. I'm not opposed to changing out the injectors; they do have a lot of miles on them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
