2011 Mini Cooper stopped playing lock/unlock chirp sounds even with alarm package

So like 10 days ago I got my first car which is a 2011 Mini Cooper. I was told by the dealer that it DOES have the $500 alarm package in it and when I brought it home for the next few days, when I locked and unlocked it, the chirp sounds played just like they should. However, only 4 days after I purchased the car, I went to lock it and the sound didn't play. I hadn't been messing with settings or anything, and when I went to the car and unlocked it that morning it made the sound. I don't understand why it stopped working and I know it's a little thing but I payed an extra $500 and this is a feature it's supposed to have that isn't working
Does anyone have any solutions? I looked in the manual for the car and it gave me instructions but the icon choice it was telling me to choose in the book didn't show up when I was doing it

First thing to check is battery condition when you have odd electrical problems. Is it original battery? Get it tested.

My faulty 2011 Countryman S All4 has the same issue. I just removed the fuse until i find someone that knew how to reset it or fix it. I called the dealer and their famous reply is...."bring it in to take a look!"

Are you switching keys? You can program each key differently.

Can you buy a battery from autozone and try if that changes anything, otherwise you can return it.
You can either take your batter to autozone to test it, or buy a voltmeter from RadioShack and see the voltage level

I actually only got one key with it, that reminds me i need to buy another one. But even then, like i said i'm only using one key and I never messed with any settings or anything that would make it act differently

how often does it not make a sound?
does it actually lock and unlock the doors?

Is the alarm system, only to make sound when you lock? are there other sensors in the car preventing it from sounding to let you know that you might have, let's say, the windows open or sunroof open?

It made the sound for the first 4 days I had the car, and the morning of the next day when I went out to it and unlocked it, it made the sound, but when I was getting out of my car after i had driven it I locked it and the sound wasn't there and it hasn't made a sound since (only the flashing lights and the sound of the actual locks)
it does lock and unlock the doors

but when i followed the instructions in the manual I got with the car the option to turn the sound back on wasn't even there

I'm positive I keep all the windows and doors completely shut (I don't have a sunroof) but today when I go out to the car after school I'm gonna open and close the hood and gas cap (even though I don't think either of those is the issue, I just want to try it to see if it changes anything)

Also, take a peek at the fuse. It should be located behind the kick panel of the passenger side fuse 26 I think.

I did press down on the little thing that sticks out, though, on the bottom right of the display thing (so technically correct) like the one you press down that resets the trip miles... could that have done anything??

It should not. But you can check your setting. There is a BC button on the turn signal handle. If you push that multiple times, it takes you to setting. See if it was turned off some how.

yeah I did that, those were the manual instructions but it didn't work. Like my car didn't show the option to turn on the chirp sound, only the lights flashing or nothing at all
