Hello everyone,

I have a mini cooper s 05 convertible for the last month or so the car has been dying on me while waiting on a street light or any other stop which is inconvenient when you have traffic behind you. I don't know what is wrong with it because the car completely dies, no emergency lights, no lock or unlocking if you try to start the car it just doesn't do anything. This week it happened 3 times already and the mechanic where I took it can find anything, sometimes after a few minutes the lights turn on by itself and the car will start by then other times my husband have had to unplug the battery and then it turns on right away. I took the battery to get it checked and I was told from 520 my battery had 380 charge which according to them that is not the issue.

Has anybody experience a similar issue to mine?

Find someone else to test the battery. Are they testing it after charging it? They should be..

Are your battery cables clean and tight?

Ground straps clean and tight?
