Leaking motor mount 2005 Mini

Sorry... I know this has probably been discussed to death in the past. But all the threads I found about it were several years old and I wondered if there was any new information on these leaky motor mounts, which seem to be a common problem.

I have a leaking motor mount on my 2005 JCW. Is there now a solid mount with a proven track record to use as a direct replacement? Or am I stuck putting another oil-filled mount back on?

Thanks!

TSW and Vibra-Technics make good ones. You might get some more NVH though.

TSW/WMW makes one, as well as Vibra Technics. I have the old TSW design (basically the same as the '02-04 one you can see on Outmotoring). Now the TSW for the '05-06 mount looks like the Vibra Technics, not sure who did what first, but anyway.

+1 on the Vibra Technics mount, but it's expensive.

Some people who can change the mounts themselves, and don't want to chance vibrations, just keep replacing with stock every time they wear out. The NVH with the VT mount isn't really bad and the car feels more alive when driving it. With less engine movement the acceleration, and driving in general, feels better.
