Technical stuff - go here then follow to "HackTheiBus"

Half technical: a microchip programmed by me monitors & analyzes all iBus messages. When it sees the message sent when the button is pressed, it turns on the relay; when it sees the message sent when the button is released, it turns off the relay.

Connections: the circuit needs 12V, 0V and iBus. Best place to access them is the head unit connector; MikeyTheMini sells adaptors which can take off 12V/0V from behind the HU using a simple no-soldering plug/socket arrangement. You can get to the iBus there too.

More info than that: send me email (GBMINI@MINIsOnTop.com)
