Low Fuel Pressure but New Fuel Pump

Ok let me run down the history on this issue.

- Hit a deer and the car wouldn't start (of course things were broken)
- I replaced the fuel filter
- Put everything back together turns over still doesnt start
- Checked fuses and Relays (actually swapped with my other R50 i had at the time that was working)
- Checked the fuel rail and there was no fuel
- Got a new fuel pump
- Now i have some fuel and a little pressure in the fuel rail but not enough

What am i missing here??

Couple of things Im thinking could be causing this...

- I read about a fuel line that sometimes break in the fuel tank but need more info

- Theres not a good seal with the fuel filter

Any more ideas would be helpful.. The only thing needed is to get this car running so i can get it out to the paint and body shop.

Have you checked for fuel pressure?

Power at the fuel pump?

Early cars had an inertia switch in the drivers side wiper cowl area to kill fuel in the event of an accident. If you have said inertia switch, you'll need to remove it and manually reset it.

I appreciate that...!!! Yeah Mine is a early 2002 and that is probably what happened... Now I will have to find out where it is and how to reset it.. Hopefully this is what I need to get this thing started..

Glad we could be of assistance!

Only the early 02s had that inertia switch, so not many people know what to look for.
