Intermittent coolant leak

I have an 08 Cooper S, recently it started dripping coolant on the garage floor here and there. When I pressure test the system I find no leaks comma and it does not lose pressure. When my wife drives to work sometimes the coolant level light will come on shut the car off and it's fine again. And drips here and there. Hoping someone may have an answer for me. Thanks moves

Me too. It'll go months w/o any fluid loss and then boom the coolant level in the overflow will drop. In my case there's no signs of dripping fluid on the floor.

Its at the beginning of the thermostat housing leak, mine was on / off.... then boom, finally leaked all they way. Check the thermostat housing , then the water pump area. My water pump then leaked a couple days later, so i did it wall at once.

I had the same experience....changed the thermostat housing and the leaks stopped.

Yep, I also had the aux pump running all the time issues followed by no heat from the interior heater unless reeving the engine. All clues of the thermostat.

Replaced the thermostat yesterday. After driving less than 50 miles I checked the level in the reservoir tank and it was at the minimum coolant level. Is that normal or do I still have an issue? I topped it off to the max level.

I just did the thermostat a week ago something after typing it off no more issues. Happy motoring.
