Radio wont turn off

I have a 2004 mini s and my radio will not turn off even when the car is off. I've had the car for a month or so now and this just started to happen about 4 days ago. Anyone know what may be wrong with it?

Do you have an aftermarket head unit? If so, maybe check out this thread HERE. This article here is more generic, but provides some suggestions as well.

Touch the turn **** in and pull out, then check the back of the head unit, did anyone mess with the wires in the back with an aftermarket unit ?

Sounds like a bad radio, its it comes on randomly with shutting down and turning on the ignition. I would get a used or new one and swap it out to test. Sometimes they show up in the marketplace. You just need one for a 2004 and on ( but not the 2007 2008 version as they changed). In 2005+ models they add radio data, so that's an upgrade.

Swap an new one in and test it.
