Front Wipers Won;t Activate

My front wipers recently stopped working. Looked here for answers and I checked the fuses. Both looked ok but I replaced anyway. No easy fix for me!

Now I am looking at part's geek. Any reason I shouldn't buy a remanufactured motor? Comes out to $70 versus $about $250.

Check to see of you have power at the motor before replacing. Could be a bad relay. Would hate to spend the money on a motor and it not fixing the problem. Do things in steps. Check power first

Thanks for the response. Sorry for MY late response!

I am not terribly mechanically inclined. I have done a few things, mainly looking here and at tutorials and vidoes. I have diagnosed a bad gear shift linkage by site. Replaced some lamps, and other minor things.

What am I getting at? Well, how do I go about seeing if there is power to it? I do have a multimeter. I just don't know where I would start on this vehicle.

Going to try the suggestions here... seems like an incredibly easy thing to attempt

EUREKA!!!!

The above fix worked!

I did a hack job with some spare speaker wire I had... obviously not weather proof so I disassembled it.

Will be going to a car parts shop tomorrow to get some properly weather proofed wire. Might as well do it right and get the proper linkages...

Noob question (so embarrassing lol).... what are those little metal circle pads called? The ones that you put a bolt through? I plan to put one of those on either end of the wire.

Something like below... Also what size?

Thanks for the unput everyone!

I ended up buying U terminals because I wasn't quite able to remove one of the bolts entirely (rust, grime, IDK). WOrked like a charm.

Only downside is I have enough to run this repair about 50 times lol, and I bought the smallest amount of everything I possibly could.

MUCH cheaper fix thatn what I had initially expected I would have to do...

Thanks again everyone!
