A arm bushing replacement cost?

How much should it cost to replace a arm bushings?
I'm hearing dealership may be close to $2000
Is this something you'd recomend just finding a generic mechanic for? Minis are so quirky I've heard bad things about going non dealer...

We charge $450 in labor for installing the bushings, plus a $125 4 wheel alignment. I recommend you replace the control arm bushings with the Powerflex option, They are a poly bushings that carries a lifetime warranty, but we have never seen a set fail.

There are a couple variables that could be added on once in there as well, such as the front sway bar and bushings may need replaced due to rust.

The factory bushings will only last you another 40K miles, and you'll be back in the same boat you're in now.

We charge $448 out the door with either stock or powerflex bushings. Like Nick said Powerflex is the way to go. We go by the motors book time of 2.3 hours(plus alignment) so that kind of gives you an idea of what most aftermarket shops should be charging. Again the Motors book is considered a labor "guide" so some shops use it as a start point. There are a few DIY thread so you know your way around a car you might be able to tackle it on a weekend but a lift would be very helpful.

My dealer said it should be around $1000 but I'm expecting a number of bs charges like $150 diagnosis even if I tell them this is what I need. I don't think my dealer will install non-oem.
Having trouble finding a good mechanic that can handle the mini. Anything special that would make this different from any other car a-arm bushing job?(generic vs specialist mechanic)

Wish I was in mi or AZ. I'd go to one of your shops

Nick, is that price per side or for both sides?
