quick ? about tpms...and changing tires
i just put my winter tires on, i have only one set of rims,at discount tire, and they charge 32 dollars for a tpms "repair kit"...the guy explains that evey time you change tires, you need to repair the tpms....any of you guys (or gals) know if this is really necessary? thx, dan

I don't see how changing seasonal tires twice a year requires a sensor service every time you change tires. Maybe every time you wear out a set of high mileage tires, but surely not twice a year.
Some installers have a corporate policy of always charging to service sensors. I think Firestone is one that does.
If you want to price a second set of rims Tirerack.com is a good place to look.
