R56 Thermostat replacement different cable socket?

Hi guys

I bought a new thermostat from Outmotoring to replace my current one which is giving me P0118 and P0116 code

The part has just arrived, but the problem is the socket for the temperature sensor is different on the new one.

Do they make different thermostat versions??

Attached is the picture of what I mean

There are different versions for the N14 and N18 engines, with different plugs.

Get a harness adapter from your local dealer. They should have a few in stock

The cable is for certain years as there was overlap in the parts. Like trying to make the N14 fit the N18 on certain years. But the cable is ~ $25 and I have to know your production date. The top dirty one in the pic is the N18 version. Direct swap. We have the N18 in stock. The cable might or may not be in stock at your local dealership depending on the production date. When the N14 housing was on shortage worldwide MINI made a fix cable for certain production years as the N18 thermo , but then right after that they came back into stock. lol

I would just get the N18 one. But its up to you.

Thanks
