Squeak/rattle FAQ???

Hi All,

I own and '06 R50 and wondering if there is a thread somewhere that shows the most common/effective ways to deal with some of the interior squeaks/rattles. I've done some searching, but I'm having no luck finding anything.

Thanks,
Mark

I'll start with the temperature sensor in the middle of the dashboard near the windshield. The padding dries out quickly due to lots of sun. Just pop it out and fabricate padding from some soft material that makes it snug. It's amazing the rattle that one produces...lol.

Thanks Ryche. Any other takers? Maybe this is why I was having a hard time finding a consolidated source on the squeaks...

The built in search is date limited....
But if you use Google site search....you can get some "moldly oldy" threads that still has good info...if I recall right...if you find the surfaces that are rubbing, many folks used the 3m medical tape with great luck....many how to were around... Bet the links for the pictures are dead...but the descriptions would still be useful....
Just keep in mind... The gen1 dash was a 3 (newer)or more rattle prone 5 part unit depending on the year....

I find that the styrofoam into which my dash downtubes mounts explains many of my squeaks.

Not trying to be rude....
But I don't think anybody reading in the gen1 forums (2002-2006 cars) will know much about a newer car...
Try a posting or search in the gen2 area....
