My back breaks went first?? 26k motored

That's interesting. I have two mcs's w/asc one at 80k and the other at 70k. They are both on thier third set of front brakes, while the rears still have half the life of the second set left. I only changed the rears because I had the parts and the car was already on the lift. I drive hard, but don't usually have passengers or cargo.

The reason our rear brakes wear out faster is because of the EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). At non-emergency braking the MINI puts more pressure on the rear brakes in order to reduce the front end from diving. And that came from the horses mouth, or at least the Service Advisor from Knauz. I was a little confused as why my rear's would wear out before the front. He told me why, and he said that it's the same thing on his Land Rover Discovery, the EBD burns out his rear brakes before the front.
