Water on driver's side floor followed by bogus(?) indicator lights

I have a 2006 (R50) Mini with 116,500 miles. It rained last night and when I got into the car this morning I found about an 1/2 inch of water on the floor on the driver's side in both front and back. The passenger's side was dry. I don't know the source of the leak, but that is secondary, I think. The car started fine and seemed to run normally but the air bag indicator light was illuminated. I drove it to work and bailed out the water and took out the floor mats to dry. When I next started the car the air bag light was still on and and the "service engine soon" light also was on but the car still seemed to be running normally. The radio, fan, wipers, turn signals, lights, etc. all worked fine. I'm assuming that something electrical got wet and is causing the indicator lights to turn on, but I'm not sure where to look for the problem. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Do you have a sunroof? I've heard that the drain tubes can come unattached or get clogged. You will get water like you have and can short the connector.

Easy fix if that is the problem.

FYI, the airbag light won't turn off by itself, even if everything else dries out and returns to normal. The airbag warning light is designed so that once it is triggered, it will stay on until reset with an electronic tool at a dealer or repair shop.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. My sunroof drain hose fell off and caused water to run down the a-piller and into the floor board.
And yes I had every light in the car come that's what made me panic! Took to the shop I get my MINI worked they showed me what happened and how attach it permanently or well I hope so

The night before though I went to wal mart bought small $20.00 heater took the interior rocker trim out and set the heater in the floor board on medium and pointed in towards the fuse box clutch pedal area and let it run for a good 4 hours at least. Next day had it fixed they cleared all 28 codes that showed up and been good ever since!

Thank you! Yes, I have a sunroof and will check the drain hose. I really appreciate the help.
