2007 R56S with 31k miles.

Today I started the car for a 3.5 hour drive and the Mini logo appeared on the Nav screen, then disappeared. Then reappeared, flickered (dimmed), slight buzz sound from the speaker system and then a black screen. About 20 seconds later, Mini logo appears again and goes through the same cycle. Disappear, reappear, flicker, black screen.

It seems like the system is trying to boot up and crashes. The seat belt alarm doesn't function. No radio or nav functions and the voice system doesn't work either. It did this for the entire 3.5 hour drive. I was able to eject the nav disc at one point but it still was stuck in the same loop. I don't think it's even getting to the point of reading the disc.

Anyone seen anything like this?
