08 MCB's driver's window rolling to the midway when flick auto-up
Hello everyone,
My wife's 08 mini cooper base just had such an annoying problem with the driver sides' window:
When flicking the trigger for auto-up, the window will roll up, hit the top and back to stop in the midway; while it works fine with auto-down.
I've seen people complaining this issue a lot in different forums, and also seen the 'magical' solution by holding the trigger for 10~15 secs to reset the positioning sensor. The problem is that no evidence has shown people fixed the problem using this trick, they all end up taking the car in the dealership to re-program the software and risking the recurrence.
I've just called a local dealer technical adviser, who seems not so familiar with this issue, after explaining that reprograming will probably fix, he asked for 310 + tax for it.
I don't think this is really a big problem, and don't want to surrender money easily to the dealership, does any one have experience of fixing it by your self?
Please share your experience and idea!
Thank you in advance!
