First service at 2 year interval
Since I live almost 4 hours away from the nearest MINI dealership, I have not been to one for any service other than one trip to fix a loose shifter cable.
Since the car is now 2 years old, I was looking through the Service & Warranty booklet and came up with the following items I will have done when I visit soon.
Booklet says every 2 years:
1. Replace Poly-V belt
2. Replace Brake fluid
Other stuff (service bulletn related) I've found out about on this forum:
1. Check PCV hose
2. Latest software to fix hesitation/yoyo or whatever. (In 2 years I've learned to "drive around" it. I'd like to see what their fix is like
)
3. Wiper blades
4. Rear hatch rattle
Anything else? Can't be too much more since it's going to take 4 hours to get there and 4 hours back! A long day ... (but with 8 hours of kick-*** fun driving though!)

Hmmm not sure, but a good heads-up for me. I will probably have 2 years in before my 10K service alike. Also live 4 hours from my dealer. Although I changed my oil at the break-in point.
I think pre-spec are the earliest US imported MINIs.
Also, have you chedcked your hood scoop nuts? you might be in for some free replacements! I lost the front two, and you can't tell without looking.
I just got the new software. I have to learn how to drive with it, as I keep chirping my tires on launch, even with DSC!
cheers!
