Vague clutch pedal feel

Recently had a clutch job on my 2009 Clubman (everything changed out at an authorized dealer, flywheel pressure plate, friction plate, etc...with OEM kit). Now there is a strange issue with the clutch. The bite point is very vague and the feel of the clutch pedal is not right.

Hard to describe, but there is no "feel" to the pedal, so it's hard to know when I'm at the bite point. But the clutch holds firm. Absolutely not slipping. No strange clutch noises, can change gears no problem.

However, if I drop the car into first from a higher gear, there is no jerking as one would usually expect. Instead the clutch just engages with a smooth motion.

The lack of pedal feel makes it rather hard to drive the car and I've stalled it a few times already. It might be my imagination, but sometimes the pedal feels a tiny bit better when cold and is generally worse when the weather or engine is warm.

Have never come across such strangeness before. Help/advice would be highly appreciated.

Take it back to the dealer. Either there's air in the clutch hydraulics, or there's something weird going on with the clutch disk/pressure plate/throwout bearing/etc.

think it could be air in the lines? If it were the pressure plate or disk, wouldn't it slip?
