Anyone try the Alta silicone boots or another brand other than stock? Changing my valve cover gasket, noticed my intercooler boots are nearly perished and I'm not fond of paying $100+ for a pair of OEM rubber boots if there's another type that will work perfectly well.

Thanks!
Greg

Alta work fine they are just not easy installation. Some boil them in water to soften them up others use heat gun. They don't stretch easy.

Yes the Alta's sucked to install but once they're on they'll be there for life. After a few miles they'll form up and won't be real difficult if you need to remove the IC again.

Agreed, Alta was rough to install, but no issues once they were on there.
