I often have the sunroof and windows open when motoring in my MCS, therefore, I usually keep the Auto AC off. Whenver I start up, hot air blows out of the vents even though the Auto AC is off. The only way to get ot to stop is to turn the AC on, wait for it to start blowing and then turn it off again. Has anyone else had this problem?

Push the off button to turn the system on, then push the recirculate button and turn the fan speed to zero. If not, the vents are open letting fresh air in at whatever previous temp the system was set at. If it is hot outside then you will get air that is as hot or hotter than the outside temp at best.

Yes I have had this same problem. I posted a note on this very same issue ("fresh air&quotbut am still confused.
Maybe I should read my owner's manual, but it should be so simple. I just want air vents open, AC & heater off and windows & sunroof open. When the auto AC (set at 72) is OFF if I open the windows on a typical San Diego October day (68 or so) I get hot air. No big deal, but bothersome.
