I have a 3" crack on the left side bolster of the bottom cushion. I found a skin replacement for it. Has anybody done a seat recover without triggering air bag lights?
first step is to disconnect battery. then work slowly taking the skin off and be sure to disconnect your plugs without aggravation or else you can set off a light once you reconnect battery. remember that the skin has weight sensors on them so be careful not to tear anything. good luck
That's assuming you are working on the passenger's seat - the driver's seat has no sensors in it. Replacing the front seat bottom covers is pretty simple as they are held down with hog rings (easily replaced with zip ties). The seat back covers are another story as they are glued on.
