Cruise Control "pulsing" after air filter and drive belt change?

Before I bring my car back to the mechanic, I thought I'd ask if anyone had experienced this.

I just had some brake work done, and at the same time they replaced my air filter and my drive belt. I use my CC a lot, and since I got it back I've noticed a "pulsing" while it's engaged. By "pulsing", I mean that I feel a very slight surge in acceleration, followed by a letting up, over and over.

I can't stress the word "slight" enough, though. It's very very subtle. If I hadn't been using my CC consistently over the 10 years I've had the Cooper, I might not even know something is wrong. It's that subtle.

Anyone have any ideas? The timing is too coincidental not to be connected to the work they just did. Specifically the air filter and drive belt. I don't suspect that the brake work would cause this symptom.

Year & Make of your Mini might be helpful.

Oops - sorry! 2003 Cooper.

I also misspoke when I said I've driven it for 13 years - it's only been 10 (fixed). Long day.

Same thing with my R53 (2005 MCS six speed manual)...happened after I did a reset on the ECU. Hoping it's just "adjusting" and will go away as I've read happened for some who had the issue. First time I've ever *not* found an immediate answer on NAM. Bummer.
