battery...
battery...
ALL:
I was having problems with electrical items with the 2008 MC. Dealer said battery. 350.00 to replace.. The car is in the body shop (don't ask, rear ended by a youngster).. So I don't have access to the car or the manual, and will buy my own battery.
I'm having trouble with the forums finding the specifics and clarity.
for 2008 MC with Nav system and Comfort Option, does anyone know what amp/what battery would fit. Is it 55 or 70amp?
I would like to purchase before getting car back. and Does it matter if I get the 55amp when it should be 70amp...
Thanks!

You should always get the higher amp battery IMO. The amps usually plays no parts in how big the battery is.
70AH 570A This is the part number from MINI 61217575326 BATTERY FROM EXIDE
So I would be looking for one like this. Most AP stores will be able to cross this or look your MINI up to match one.

O'Reily or Autozone can swap that out for you easy for a heck of a lot less that your dealer is quoting. and all you have left is a clock and maybe a radio preset reset. Bram is right on about the amperage. You may never need that much but the extra capacity is good to have, ya never know.
