Hey everyone, I had to give my MCS to the shippers for its long journey from Germany to Seattle on Friday, so I'm not quite myself these days, sob,sob...

But anyway, while preping the car, I couldn't get the antenna unscrewed for anything. It would not budge!! Now the base would unscrew, but it started scratching the paint, so the shippers just left it on. It almost looks like the antenna is one piece and permanently connected to the base.
Am I just stupid, or has anybody else with a 2004 noticed this????

Mine unscrewed without any problem (04 MCS).

Maybe someone grabbed the wrong color Loctite...

When I first tried to unscrew mine, only the base was moving. It took a lot of effort to finally break the antenna free, but it finally came loose.
