Fresh Air
Driving home from work I usually pop open the sun roof and windows and turn the Auto climate control off. Funny thing is it insists on blowing hot air through the vents even when off (outside temp 66 here in San Diego last few days my thermostat set to 72 but TURNED OFF!) Is this normal or is something broken?
Also my little computer seems to accuratly register outside air temp but when I toggle to the other setting they always read 25mpg and 27mph even if I'm going 80 in sixth gear. What Gives?

I havent experienced the outside air problem. Mine seems to be the outside temp when climate control is off.
As for the mpg and mph numbers. those are just averages since the last time you reset them. if you have driven for 1000's of miles, driving 80 for a while wont change the averages. i reset these everytime i go on a trip. and you can watch the numbers change pretty fast. its fun to reset the mpg just when you are coasting down a long hill. yay 99mpg!

Yes, that's normal. Even with the auto climate control off you will still blow hot air if you left the temp. setting at, say 70. If I turn mine to "Lo" before I turn off the auto climate control it'll blow the outside temp. air. Or simply don't use the auto climate control button at all. I only used the auto climate control in the summer for the A/C. I find it more comfortable to use only the air speed and temp. setting manually.

The computer runs an total average. If you reset the computer when you get on a fast moving road, you'll see the average go up. Do this by pressing the button to get the display you want to reset, then hold the button down for two to three seconds. Same with the MPG display of the computer. Reset it after every fill up and you'll get the average MPG between fill ups.
I have had my MC for 4 months and I have finally figured out the auto climate control. In the summer, if it is off, make sure the recirculate is illuminated so you don't get hot air blown on you, or push the off button when the unit is off and adjust the fan speed to zero with the recirculate on!
