Fried TCM, elecrtical problems

Long story short, I was rear ended 3 months ago. After a plethora of electrical issues, that I have had to pay out of pocket for, the mini dealer tells me that my TCM needs to be replaced. After replacing my TCM and BSD cable, the transmission is still jerking itself into gear. They tell me today that something somewhere was rewired wrong. Originally, my mini was worked on by the insurance recommended body shop, who sent my car off to a shop owned by his friend to have the cooling system rewired (why? i have no idea). As far as i know this is the only wiring that was touched; could this bad wiring be the cause of my TCM being fried?

Doe TCM mean Transmission Control Module?

I'm still trying to noodle out BSD.

Cooling system rewired??
Other than the rad fan (which would be the last thing hit in a rear ender) I can't think of anything that relates to wiring.

I was pushed into another car but I had a tire, strut, and hood replaced. That was the only damage I had to the front. I didnt find out until after and they didnt give a reason as to why it had to be rewired. Im a little lost on what to do.
