Seems that the black plastic around engine bay very easily broken. Front air duct snap...broken. Battery box cover broken three times. Also label falls off on firewall. Filter holder in canister broken by dealer during last oil change. Is this typical of BMW? Why so fragile?

Interesting comments, however I haven't experienced any breakage of the plastic pieces on my MCS, nor heard of any problem with this before.
How on Earth did the dealer break the filter holder in the oil filter canister? That thing seems indestructable on my car, plus the filter is only paper!!

The oil filter holder has 4 grippers that snap into the top of the canister. One of them broke off while pulling the filter element out. It makes no difference, it still snaps into place and the spring pushes the filter toward engine. When installed it makes no difference. When I changed my oil I found it missing, and broken piece was not in there. Dealer did last change.
