Transmission replaced
Had my 2012 MCS w/20K in for service to check the transmission which was catching on shifts from 1st to 2nd. MINI could not determine what the issue was so they are replacing the unit. Hope no one elese has this issue.

explain, "catching". was it grinding?

No, it was not grinding. The shift was not smooth and it would hangup like burr or nick was in the shift linkage and would not allow a clean shift.
