Replace belt damper bushings or whole tensioner?

My belt tensioner is chattering a little bit and I'm wondering if I can just replace the bushings? How will I know if the whole tensioner needs to be replaced?

This has likely been covered before but I couldn't find it. Thanks

The tensioner comes as a complete unit- you cannot buy pieces for it. I'm not sure what bushing you're referring to though? If the tensioner shock is blown, bearing has failed, and/or belt is not holding tension, its time to replace it.

I'm referring to these bushings from Way.
