Rattle - Front Wheel Area

I have a 2010 S automatic with 16,500 miles, yesterday for the first time started hearing this rattle coming from the front wheel areas while driving at slow speeds over bumps or rough roads. It sounds like someting is loose or rubbing. The noise is more prevalent on the right side. Anybody else had this issue and what was the diagnostic? I want to be prepared before I go to our local stealership who specializes in declaring warranty items as always being... "within specifications". Thanks.

Do you have any suspension mods?

No modes. No RF's, tires @35 psi, 17-inch wheels. I was thinking along the lines to have the engine, transmission, and strut mounts checked including the sway bar bushings. Today after work I will check and adjust the bushings so the bonnet when latches down tight. FYI - I hear this thud sound only at low speeds.

Problem solved. I will look for some rough roads this week to test and make sure the low rattle is gone. FYI -This weekend I hoisted the car up on my friends lift and hand checked transmission, engine, strut mounts and all the front end bushings. They were all good and tight. Finally adjusted the rubber rest/stops for the bonnet. It took a few tries to get it right. The noise seems to have gone away. The only issue now is that the adjustment has made the hood release a little tight. Tonight I am going to try spraying silicone lubricant on the cables.... as I for sure don't want them to snap.

I had a similar problem as well. The seams between the bonnet and surrounding panels didn't match until I figured out how to adjust it. It took some time to get it almost perfect but now it is even better than newer cars.
