NewAdvanceAutoBattery

Hi Folks,

2006 MC S
Just purchased an AA direct-replacement battery. Am I correct in that the battery doesn't fit into an exact battery footprint (other than the obvious compartment)? Meaning there will be some "play" as long as it's secured/bracketed within the battery area?

Thanks for any help!
Greg

There shouldn't be any play. I had to shim my replacement battery to secure it.

shim it so it does not move..vibration is what kills many batteries...the soft lead plates inside crack...and fail.
i wedged a piece of foam next to mine...just like the OEM tool kit is wedged in, and a narrow slice of plywood to make sure the top bracket fit fine just to be safe ..but the bottom was tight!!
