Heater Core Starting to drip...

Ok so long story short, I can see a few drops of coolant coming into the drivers side foot well every couple days, so I have a feeling the heater core is on its way out.

My question is, at this point, does it ALWAYS require a complete replacment, or could I possibly get away with just doing one of the install kits that includes new O-rings, clamps and the foam gasket?

I'm going to pull the plate off tonight and take a look, I'm just curious if there's anyway to get lucky and only have to replace the o-rings and clamps.

Any input would be great. I've read the many threads about replacing and I'm mentally preparing for that to be the answer, just seeing if there's any chance of saving some $$.

Thanks!
