clunking problem when accelerating.
clunking problem when accelerating.
So a few days ago I noticed that whenever I start to take off and accelerate in 1st and 2nd gear i can hear this clunking sound coming from the drivers side front of the car. It's almost like something is loose and banging up against something. i haven't got underneath to check things out yet but just trying to get an idea of things to look for. I recently had the timing chain and tensioner done at the dealership if that matters at all. Was thinking maybe its a lose motor mount or transmission mount? Also when I'm in 5th gear or downshift to 5th gear and get into boost it feels like its struggling and have experienced what i think is fuel cut. The car all of a,sudden falls on its face and seems like its struggling to keep going. It's only in 5th gear that ive experienced this. Any ideas what that could be as weell? Car has 31k miles on her and its an 08 mcs 6sp. Thanks in advance.
Well I guess maybe Im just paranoid? Cause I checked the lower engine mount on the passenger side and that thing is solid. Was actually surprised at how the engine didnt rock back and forth at all when I gave it some gas. Checked the sway bar where it meets up with the endlinks as well and no play in those either. IDK.. I am still very new to the car so maybe its just something the car does.
