Removed Stripes, Left Adhesive, Scratched Clear Coat
Well, if the place that painted the hood won't offer to fix it, I am getting the adhesive removed and the scratched area filled in. I'll go from there. It won't be that giant gash lol, it would just be a repaired clear coat section underneath
that's hilarious, i was thinking of the sound from scary movies (reee ree reee ree) and the giant clear coat gash pic coming closer and closer lol.

Just as an attempt to help folks in the future, I had some stickers and such on my MINI when I bought it, not the stripes, but a football helmet logo and another sticker. I heated them up on a hot day, peeled them right off but had a lot of residue left behind. Asked a local mechanic friend of mine if he had any suggestions, and he recommended 3M Adhesive remover. Doesn't harm paint at all, but definitely removes adhesive. Just pour a little on, then rub off with microfiber towel. If it doesn't all come off the first time, just put a little more on until it's gone.
