Smell Coolant After Driving

I'm smelling coolant outside the car after drives that bring the engine up to normal operating temperature. Sometimes it's pretty strong, sometimes not, but it's always there. There are no visible leaks, but I am very slowly losing coolant - slow enough that would take a few months for the need to top off the reservoir.

I have some of the Venair silicone coolant hoses installed and I know they do have a higher water permeation rate than regular rubber hoses. Is it possible the smell is coming from them? Anyone else with the silicone hoses smell coolant outside after driving?

I also suspect it could possibly be the water pump weeping, but it's hard to confirm for sure given it's location.

Thermostat gasket and housing has been replaced recently, so I'm fairly confident that's not the culprit.

For any who run across this thread, the smell was due to the silicone hoses. Went back to rubber and no more coolant smell.
