Hi all

A mini tech was kind enough to take a look at this single click noise i'm having when my 2005 MCC 5 speed manual goes from engine-driving-wheels to wheels-driving-engine (letting off the gas w/o pressing clutch and stepping on the gas as well)

He said it's the pass. side engine mount. Stupid me at the time forgot to mention that i'd put the car on jacks and turned the wheels and heard the noise -- I doubt i was rocking the engine when i was just spinning the wheels by hand...

Can anyone tell me how likely this is?
Also, how hard is a DIY repair? at first blush, it looks pretty simple.. I recently moved and i don't know where my bentley is...

Edit: Took a look at the mount, it is hard to tell because the car's a dark color, but it looks like it dumped itself. So i guess i'll swap that out!

 

If the passenger side engine mount is broken, it will most likely be leaking fluid. I've never had to do it but I've been told that it is a very easy fix.

 

Did it today, thunk is now gone! awesome.

Wasn't too bad replacing the unit.
