Just how dimming is the auto dimming rearview? My wife has a 2012 MCS with this option and she's complaining that it doesn't seem to dim at all. Is there something that has to be set? Thanks

My '08 does a great job of dimming the Rearview Mirror, it could be how she has it adjusted too. I have mine Dead Center over the Rear Seats, where they meet in the middle, not turned up or down. You could test this at night by following her or have her follow you after she has adjusted the mirror.

I am OCD about how all of the interior "nooks and crannies" have to be when I'm driving, granted it is my MINI and my Husband rarely drives her, but when he does any little thing out of place, I know it!!
