Sluggish 2004 with automatic transmission

My 2004 won't rev past 4,000RPM and is crawling down the road. It doesn't seem to want to shift through the gear ranges (I know it has a CVT).Has anyone run into this? I just changed the fuel filter today, but that had zero effect.

Might want to try the First Gen Forum 2002-2006... Second Gen doesn't have a CVT...
