i have a 2007 mini cooper s with the dual moon roofs and when i go to open them it budges about a quarter of a inch, makes a noise and wont go any further. i only have 40,000 miles on my car. what do i do?

 

Did you try this when the car's been sitting in the sun?
If so, the heat-expansion is putting pressure on the rubber seals causing a jamming / binding situation.
Read up on the dealers' TSB on adjusting and lubricating the sunroof assembly for normal operation.

well i live in the northwest and it has not been very warm lately but i will look in to adjusting and lubricating it because it may still need that. thank you!
