Wheel well

WTH is up with the wheel well on the 2012 mini cooper? is not plastic its like some sort of cloth material? I drove through some freshly cut grass last week and after washing my car and everything there are still pieces embedded in the wheel well. any ideas/ solutions to what MINI was thinking and what i can do?

That's how all R56s are, supposed to dampen noise inside the cabin. I pressure wash that area every now and then, not a big deal IMO.

My old Focus from 10 years ago had the same cloth type material. It dampens noise and is light weight. Except on the MINI, it works well. On the Focus, it would make a lot of noise in the winter driving through slush, for example.

Wow! Had a similar problem, perhaps worse a few days ago. Yellow street paint! Got it off of everything but that wheel well liner. I'm going to try some black rubberized undercoating paint to cover up the mess, if that fails, I'll buy a new one, cost about $70 and no big deal to replace. Good luck!
