Timing Chain Tensioner Measurements

Does anyone know where I can find measurements of an R56 timing chain tensioner? I'm looking to machine a tool to measure the chain distance.

Or if you have one laying around and could send it to me, I'd be very thankful.

How do you measure the chain tensioner ? Is there a special tool? What are the correct measurements ?

To measure the chain, you use a tool like this:

http://www.ntxtools.com/Merchant/mer...&Store_Code=01

Put that in where the tensioner goes, tighten it down to some very small torque number (basically as soon as the chain is tight), take the tool out and measure. If the measurement is more than like 68 mm, you should replace the chain.

* note - workin off memory - verify numbers with appropriate sources. Just trying to explain the concept.
