Dangling Wire Near Passenger Rear Wheel

Hey Everyone,

I have an 07 JCW MCS with a strange wire/cable dangling near the rear passenger wheel. I tried comparing either side to see where the wire is supposed to be attached to, but it seems to be only found on the passenger side. I'm not sure if I have been a victim of some kind of part theft or if it is actually just a simple disconnection to something.

Picture 1. Overall picture showing how wire/cable is dangling.
Picture 2. What is written on cable.
Picture 3. The end of cable.

Any thoughts to where it is supposed to be connected to? Thanks to all in advance!

That's the rear brake pad wear sensor, it should be attached into the gap of the caliper.

Thanks Erik! Would you happen to know if there is a certain position the sensor goes into the caliper gap or an actual spot for it to fit into?

Take a look at the left front, there is one there too, just like the rear...

Yep, it fits inbetween the center; see photo for details.
