02 Hatch Mechanism

When I open my hatch the mechanism makes a buzzing sound. It works but is kind of annoying. I suspect there is a solenoid activation mechanism of some sort and it's possibly weakening. Has anyone had this issue and/or changed out the opening mechanism?
