This afternoon, my wife noticed that the fan speed adjustment on the auto A/C would not work in our 2007 MCS Coupe. The A/C blows cold, but the fan only runs at around 30% speed no matter what setting your try, from MAX Auto LO to changing it up and down manually.

I've read that older BMW's have a fan resistor that fails and it's a PITA to replace, but I haven't seen anything about a similar failure in an R56. Anyone have any ideas?
